There goes a good proverb -“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Games and sports are important for success in every walk of our life. The importance of games and sports can never be minimized. First of all, they are good exercises and help to build fine physique for the boys and girls. It makes them mentally alert and physically strong. Secondly, students learn to cope with difficult situations. By displaying their feats before many spectators, they can overcome their nervousness.

Thirdly, games and sports are good diversions and give them the energy to learn their lessons well. In the RAJUVAS, Games and Sports are a regular feature of the college curriculum and include all outdoor and indoor games and athletics. RAJUVAS main campus has a 320 bigha eco-friendly area having vast playgrounds and having good facilities for games and sports. The two tennis courts and one badminton court both having light facilities to play at night are situated in main University campus. The facilities for athletics, football, hockey, kabaddi, cricket basketball, volleyball and table tennis are present in boy’s hostel at the campus with lights to play at night for basketball & volleyball. There is a pavilion for a seating capacity of 500 is present at common playgrounds. In the pavilion, there is an indoor table tennis facility with electric lights. The girls’ hostel has playing facilities for basketball, volleyball and badminton. Gymnasium facility for students is also available at University campus. In the gymnasium 4 stations multi gym, roller trade mill, cross trainer, orbit bike, standing and sitting twister, pro-curl bench, abdominal pro-bench are provided for exercise.

University Games and sports competitions are annual affairs in RAJUVAS. Sports are generally held in winter months. Students take part in various games like high and long jumps and different kind of races. These annual sports & games foster competitive spirit and sportsmanship among the participants and make them disciplined. Interclass tournaments are held in relation to football, kabaddi, cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton etc. The RAJUVAS teams are regularly participating in inter veterinary university and inter agricultural university games and sports competitions. The coaching camps for different games are organized before sending teams for inter-university competitions.
